Spring
Nothing says spring is here more than Stoked Pizza on French Beach! Yes, we added a little walk out to Sandcut Falls and a stop at Shirley Delicious on the way. Twas still chilly on the beach but what a great way to welcome the new season...after cutting the grass and working around the house of course.

Beach Fire
What's to do on a warm sunshine, low wind day in mid January? A fire on the beach for the sunset at our favourite, closest to home legal place to have a beach fire. We even left Darwin at home to make it more peaceful. Gotta love the Island!

Beppe/Oma/Mom
Bruce's mom was in town for a week or so. That's always an entertaining family time as we juggle work and visits and family and friends. As is our tradition, the boys each took Oma out for dinner and had a great conversation about life, just like they used to do with their Oma and Opa. Transitions
As we continue to explore Vancouver Island with #cookieshikingadventures we've also kept busy with work and play. Dragonboating with the Navy Dragon Anchors has been a fun way to keep in shape and enjoy a whole other community. We haven't paddled much this year but did end up at the Nanaimo Regatta (VIPaddling).
