TMB Day 3

Left before the sun rose over the mountains on another beautiful, sunny, hot day. That means the views are great but the hiking is challenging.

New sights on the trail today:

  1. Two Patous who were most definitely guarding their herd!

  2. One pack horse...hmmm maybe next time.

  3. One dude cutting off and offering pieces of sausage as you walk by. It was pretty good!

We took a variant up Col des Fours and a side trail up Tete Nord des Fours. It was worth it for the view. We got to see Mont Blanc for the first time in a couple of days and also, way in the distance, the Matterhorn.

After buying some beufort cheese from the farm, Cookie's gonna guess that the health inspectors don't make it out to Ville des Glaciers too often. For the record, we thoroughly enjoyed the cheese...and it was a character building, cultural experience.

And then we wandered down to Mottets for another lovely Refuge experience.

Good on you for taking on all the experiences - ignore your inner voice (and wisdom) once in a while 😁
