Beaver and Elk Lake

It's kinda funny that we don't have many pictures of this route. We walk here like every day with the dog!

The pictures we do have are on the rare occasion when the lake freezes...and makes cool sounds from the stones bouncing on the ice.

Beaver and Elk lake is a classic Victoria spot for a 10 km loop or a very wide range of other hikes. The trails are basically flat, level and hard packed dirt so it makes for an easy walk for all abilities.

Home to many triathlons and other running events, the parks are quite popular and we don't really have much to add - the CRD sites have good descriptions.

Watch out for spear grass near the dog park and blue-green algae in the lake but other than that, enjoy and say hi to the many dog walkers, joggers, strollers and more.
